The last 2 days I have really been working day and night. The inspiration was there, so I had to finish my glass plates. Nearly 20 pieces are ready.
After a first tufted carpet, I'm proud to show you a first picture of my newest tufted tapestry, "It must be you". Looks great. I'm picking it up at Ora Pro Nobis next Thursday.
Tip: ideal to warm your living room, on the floor or on the wall. Make your choice, and heat your home. The time is right for some artistic cocooning ;-)

After a first successful tufted carpet, Ora Pro Nobis is now working on my number 2 and 3. Great work and I love to coorporate in the tufting. Gives a special feeling, so different from paint or glass.
Glass keeps on fascinating (and challenging) me and I want to give as many types of glass a try. After the platters, I try some glasses in different forms, colours and sorts of glass.
They should be ready for next week, because then it really gets tough: the oven! What will it bring?
Looking forward!

It has been a hectic day: first Jos Verhoogen to get my large copies for the next carpet and then up to Ora Pro Nobis to have a look at project number 2 and set up number 3.
Twice I got a perfect service. The copies are good and the tapestry evolves as it should!
Now it's up to me again... I'm ready!

More and more internet users browse with their mobile device, phone or tablet.
Therefore I also adapted my site www.miekedrossaert.com to make it much easier to view with your smartphone.
It's easy: open your browser, search www.miekedrossaert.come and the website is there, adapted to your mobile. Enjoy!
If any questions, please contact me. Remarks and suggestions are welcome as well!

Being on the web with my paintings, tapestry and glass work is great, but we may not underestimate the importance of the ‘real gallery’. Therefore I am very happy to be also present in “JonghART”, the new art gallery of Kurt Vandenbroucke (Gistelsteenweg 140, B-8490 Varsenare).
Some people asked me during the opendoorweekend to show them how I make some of my paintings "shine". Since you need the perfect temperature to do that, I couldn't show it at that moment.
But I still have a(n old) short video where I show how 'to epoxy', that's what you have to do when you want to give your paintings an extra dimension.
